TOTAL
RECALL Demo
at USDA
Washington, DC – Thursday, February
28, 2008
In response to the USDA's recent
recall of 143 million
pounds of beef because
it came from sick,
abused animals, FARM
staff and supporters
congregated in front of the the USDA Administration
building with a powerful demand: Recall ALL
animal products, as they
all come from sick, abused animals!
This event made it clear to
the USDA and American
consumers that the
undercover investigation
footage that precipitated the
massive recall is NOT
an isolated case. This
abuse, neglect and
cruelty takes place EVERY DAY inside factory
farms and slaughterhouses.
FARM staff and supporters
took a strong stand
with an audible and
visual message for
TOTAL RECALL. Holding
large photos of downed cows and signs
that state "USDA Recall
All Animal Products,"
"Time for a Total Recall,"
"Stop The Daily Terror
On Animals," "No
Excuse for Animal Abuse" and more, activists
chanted messages.
DC passersby at the
scene received FARM's
specially designed
TOTAL RECALL handouts.

The massive recall his still
being featured on major
TV news stations and
newspapers around the
country. Take advantage
of the media coverage
and educate your
community about the
daily horrors animals
routinely endure inside
factory farms and slaughterhouses.
Don't let this opportunity
to speak out slip by!
Speak the truth and
let the public know
that the practices at the
meat
plant in Chino
are NOT an exception. The brutaility that was video-taped is "Standard Operating Procedure"
-- ALL animals slaughtered for food are abused.
