What is Meatout?

Meatout is the world's largest grassroots diet education campaign.

On (or around) March 20, thousands of caring people in all 50 U.S. states and two dozen other countries encourage their friends, families, and communities to "kick the meat habit” and explore a wholesome, compassionate diet of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

The 2012 goal of Meatout is to distribute free vegan food samples to 30,000 people! More about Meatout.

3/10/12- Last Chance to Request Handouts
Meatout is almost here! Be sure to register your event and request your leafleting pack by March 19; unfortunately it's too late to request tabling or feed-in event packs.

2/14/12- Get Your Feed-in Handouts
Our newest handout, designed specifically for feed-ins, offers recipients a chance to enter our Meatout raffle to win a free iPad 2! In addition to the contest info, the handout includes vital information about the reasons for a vegan diet.

2/03/12- Meatout Food Donors Announced!
Each year, Meatout teams up with approximately one dozen popular vegan food manufacturers to supply our activists with free vegan food samples to distribute. After you register your event, contact one of our food donors and bring the taste of veganism to your community!

1/23/12- Get Your Activism Funded When You Help Us Meet Our Goal!
Through our friends at VegFund, you can apply for a grant to completely cover the cost of food and supplies for a public vegan food sampling! We are aiming to distribute 30,000 food samples in the March, so get planning!

1/09/12- Registration is Open!
Even if you are stillin the middle of planning your event, registering early allows you to invite volunteers, gets your event posted online, and enables us to send your event materials early. Register now!

4/11/11- Meatout 2011 Shatters Its Goal!
The numbers are in, and in March 2011, over 35,000 nonvegans have been exposed to vegan food! Make sure to take a look at the International Report, our photo gallery, and our wrap-up video!
