BOCA
Drops Eggs - Time to Celebrate!

A
campaign urging BOCA® to
stop using eggs in its product
line was recently launched by Compassion
Over Killing, Mercy
For Animals, and the Animal
Protection & Rescue League, and supported by
FARM
(Farm Animal Rights Movement) and Meatout.
SUCCESS! A company spokesperson emailed
COK yesterday:
…I
am pleased to let you know
the BOCA brand will be eliminating
eggs in all of its products
by the end of this year. We
anticipate all BOCA products
will be egg free in 2010.
Please contact
the company to
thank them for making this compassionate
decision! Thank
you to BOCA, and to all of
you who joined in our campaign
and helped bring about this
victory for animals!

Approximately
95% of eggs produced in the
U.S. come from hens confined
inside barren wire battery cages
so restrictive, the birds can
barely even move, let alone engage
in many of their most natural
behaviors including spreading
their wings, perching, or walking.
Battery-caged hens are typically
provided with a meager 67 square
inches of space in which to live—that's
less floor space than the size
of one sheet of notebook paper.
